I don't know anything about going from Reserves to Active - but I know that trying to get back in after a Medical Discharge is a pain! My husband is trying to re-enlist and we are at a standstill also. And have been for close to 4 weeks now, though its been over 9 weeks since we started the process.

I hope you hear something soon and everything goes good for you, I feel your pain! - Ashley

Ashly-I think just going back active duty is a pain in the butt. Hubby is prior service Navy and has been National Guard for 10 years. It is not like they have not aleady scanned all of our docs into the system. We went online and found most of what they wanted. Oh well. WE will play the game. So it maybe closer to Christmas before Hubby leaves. If it works out right. :)

It just sounds like the usual military MO to me. No one I know has gone from reserves to active before, but my son went from active to reserves and it was a major pain in the neck..... :) It took him months to get everything worked out...and now he's trying to decide whether to stay in the reserves or go guard...yikes!! Good luck with the transition, it takes alot of patience and major persistence.

I hope things are starting to move along. When you say he leaves do you mean for training? If it's close to Christmas then maybe he will get Christmas exodus time (I think that nearly all tradoc stuff is on hold then).

I hope you all get some relief. Tell dh to hang in there and "thank you!" from me, for his service.
